My 3 month old does the same thing. It usually means he is over tired and needs a nap. If he is fed, changed, and not hot or cold he is usually just sleepy. I have to put him in the car seat (his favorite place to sleep) and put it on the rocking chair and rock him until he falls asleep. It usually only takes 5-10 min for him to fall asleep. At 3 months old its really easy for them to get overstimulated and over tired because they are becoming increasingly aware of their surroundings and want to see everything. Try to rock her to sleep or put her in her favorite sleeping place. The cry it out method does'nt work at this young of age. They always cry for a reason. Good luck!

She could very well have acid reflex. This happened to several kids that I babysit for and they all had reflex. Try keeping her upright as much as possible and she might even be more comfortable sleeping in her car seat. Most doctors want to put them on acid reducers such as prilosec or zantac, but those are extremely hard on babies and can cause holes in their stomach and esophogus. If she is also spitting up a lot that is another sign of reflex. A way to help her without medication is to find a kineseology chiropractor. What causes their pain is a hiatal hernia and the chiropractor can show you how to pull the hernia down and relieve her pain. If you live anywhere near southern California I have a great one who should be able to help tremendously. Good luck!

Oh boy. That sounds like colic. I had a colicky baby, and I realize how hard this is to go through.
Read up on colic, and I also highly recommend getting the Happiest Baby on the Block video. This video and the suggestions in it saved our lives!
Here is the website which will teach you the 5 S's (swaddling, shusshing, swinging, side/stomach position, and sucking.

Oh you poor thing!!! Maybe you could bring her over sometime and I could babysit for you and give you a break?! My schedule is pretty full but I think I could manage somehow. I think it sounds like she has colic....have you talked to the doctor about it? Maybe she just misses her Nana J. or something. Lol! Try holding her with her stomach down and flying through the air like an airplane, sometimes that soothes them. Maybe a little bit of water will comfort her also, it did my babies!!!!!! Good-luck to you new mommie....and I hope it passes quickly.

Is she breastfed? Maybe she's having issues with digestion. Are you holding her enough? Babies love to be held A LOT at 3 months old... meaning the majority of the day... and they NEED to be held and rocked. If you are breastfeeding her and holding her a lot then maybe you should take her to the doctor. She might have colic, but then again it might be something else... so get her checked out.
Best wishes.

ok here are a few things you can do. Carry your baby to where she is in a sitting position in your arms with her back against your chest, walk around with her for a while, if she has any air in her tummy she'll burp, if she has gas, she will pass it and if she has to poop she will. I find this position of carrying a baby a life saver, sometimes i burp my baby and think he is good but when i carry him like that he burps a lot more and he poops like a champ, he passes gas like that sometimes too. After you carry her like that for a good while, try getting her a swing, babies love swings! if babies cry is because they are hurting and they don't know how to express the pain other than crying so try this first you will be susprised on how good this carrying position works for helping your baby get rid of that extra air in their tummies. I hope this works.

Sounds like Colic, try mylocon drops or just White noise, like a fan or a vacuum cleaner running, also try going for a ride in the car. My step mom got something from her doctor that helped allot, try asking your doctor if there is anything he/she can give you.

check her diaper
check her temp
rub her belly gently in circles to see if she needs to use potty
burp her please burp her that makes them hurt so bad
give her alot of physical contact
wrap her up tight and rock her gently
babys need to feel secure
feed her to make sure she's not hungry immidiately burp her
pacifers sooth babys i suggest the brand (mam)
make sure the age is 0-6 months
if it doesnt stop i suggest taking her to the emergency room to check for infection or illness
