I keep getting 180mph.

Do you mean 15 minutes to travel 5 miles? Cuz then the answer would be 20 mph.

You find your speed by dividing distance traveled by the time it took to travel that distance. You must express the distance and time in unites consistent with the desired result, so you need to express the time in hours instead of minutes before dividing. 5 minutes is (5 minutes / 60 (min/hr)) = (1/12) hours. If you travel 15 miles in 1/12 hours, your speed is (15 miles) / ((1/12) hours) = 15*12 miles/hr = 180 mph. So, neither of the above.

If you switch the numbers, then as stated you have (5 miles) / ((1/4) hours) = 5*4 miles/hr = 20 mph, answer A.

In 5 min 15 miles. So
in 60 min 12 x 15 miles. That is 180 miles/hour
