Can anyone identify a hallmark for me? it is an H in a circle & H in a circle with what looks like a bird after.

like this: H & H (bird) but the H's are in circles

The letters are the manufacurers identification marks and there should be a number underneath the bird, probably 750, which is most common. The number represents the fineness of the metal content, gold or silver, and the bird indicates that the article has been assayed as one of the national hallmarks of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, Netherlands, Portugal, Slovenia or Switzerland, all of these countries assay metals without the Common Control Mark, but are are acceptable in the UK.
