None of our whacked out liberal friends seem to remember that Clinton fired several federal prosecutors. That, of course was in the middle of travelgate, filegate, whitewater, the campaign finance fiasco, the health care fiasco, the vince foster coverup, the montana land grab, jennifer, paula, monica, and so on. Its easy to see how the firings got "lost" here, but I was wondering, after hearing Clinton floundering on what is...is, i taxed you to much and i did not have sex with that woman, if anyone could remember what he admitted to about the firings. this one ought to be priceless...i can hear the liberals whining now and the neat part is they cant blame this one on bush...LMFAO.

The Clinton administration got rid of the prosecutors, as is their right, at the beginning of the Presidency. Not so today, which is for political retribution.

Further, Clinton cleaned out the attorneys after 12 years of Republican administrations. Who were the Bush administration dumping?

(Well, the point is the timing, no? You don't fire them when they are doing a good job and 6 years into your Presidency. It is okay to wipe the slate clean upon entering office, not to cover up or intimidate. The Prosecutors are required to be free from political reprisals. Entering office=no reprisal......Firing for not prosecuting Democrats=Fear/intimidation. Understand the difference? Bush et al. were always welcome to replace Clinton's attorneys, and should have been expected to.

Also odd is that Bush is firing his OWN appointees? He had fired 91/93 upon entering office, ostensibly to clean house then)
