I am assuming that my cats and dog and parents are following me out of the house since you said 'things.' I would grab the hobby horse that I got from my Pop Pop right before he died. I can't grab 2 other things, the horse is big.

1.) I would yell and tell my son to get out then I would grab my cell phone
2.) my cat Magz
3.) my purse as long as my son was out of the house safely as he would be the most important of all but he is not always at my house as I am divorced and he is at his dad's part time as well!

If my kids were there, them first, of course. Since I live alone, I would go for photos and records.

Since I am a 9-1-1 supervisor I can tell you to forget all of the above (except your kids) and just get the hell out.

3 non-living things would be
1.my purse, so I could still have ID & a bank card
2. a picture album - you cant get some things back
3. something of my daughter's, she will need help carrying things out too.
