WASHINGTON (AP) - The mother of a Marine who tried to kill himself after two tours of duty in Iraq was arrested Monday while protesting the war outside the office of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
"I have been trying to meet with Speaker Pelosi since November because she needs to listen to the moms and other women affected by the war," Richards said in a statement.

She probably would not have been arrested if she'd have offered to make a campaign donation. That's what you have to do to speak to a democrat. The Clintons set that policy when they took a half million dollars worth of contributions from the Chinese in return for Bill giving them top secret guided missle technology.

The protesters of Bush are a distance away these were right outside her door. Believe me anyone who protested right outside the oval office would be arrested in a New York second and probably get questioned for hours on end much more than for the Speaker. Had the same thing happened to Hastert or Gingrich, the result would have been exactly the same only the liberals would be the ones howling because of the arrests.

When protesters get arrested, it's generally because they've broken some law. Usually something pretty minor, like blocking traffic. I'm sure Sheehan complied with the law in her protests (a lot of the time she was just sitting accross the street with a sign, for isntance), while Richards crossed the line to 'disorderly.'

Sheehan has a whole movement behind her, so probably gets plenty of legal advice. Maybe Richards didn't have that kind of support.

First off. Mrs Sheehan has been arrested numerous times for protesting, so your question has no merit.

Why are you so "Anti-American" can't you just support the US Congress instead of "supporting the terrorists"?

Because you can't protest outside an office and Sheehan OWNS the property she protests on?

Come on, give us a hard question.

We don't know if Pelosi had her arrested, the capitol gaurds would of done that. The link doesn't say.

Protests AREN'T allowed INSIDE government buildings. Sheehan has never protested inside a government building. That's why that protester was arrested.

When did Sheehan chant outside Bush's office?

Madam Queen is an elitist. She thinks US soldiers are nothing but C-average kids plucked from their trailers, given guns and taught to be dangerous. She has no time or respect for these people unless she needs votes. Ditto for Mrs. Clinton.
