isnt evolution a load of crap?

Question

why would bacteria evolve at all, it is still the most abundant living thing in the world. Why would something as complex as an eye evolve, a blind man doesnt know he is blind untill you tell him, same with these one celled creatures. Taste buds are another example, how does something like that just happen from evolution. Pretty much all the senses are useless to a bacteria. If evolution happens to further the orginal species, why are there so much bacteria the oldest most abundant living creature on earth, they seem to already be perfectly adapted to the enviroment billions of years ago, why would it need to evolve?

Well that proves the existence of God if nothing else does. But it doesn't explain why we don't all spontaneously combust at the same time though. OK, we'll just revise the hypothesis, maybe it takes more than a chicken or a sheep. You know thinking about it, you've got me worried about what my mates getting up to with that kangaroo he's adopted. Guess I shouldn't start any new books. Oh no, wait, the Aussies disproved that one.

Bacteria evolve rapidly...very unfortunatly for us.

Your mistake is in thinking that if evolution is true then they must evolve into something other than bacteria always.

Tastebuds help us figure out what we can eat and what we shouldn't eat. It also helps us enjoy food that has more calories, which until recently was a very valuable thing.

Most living things rely highly on sense of taste/smell. Have you ever wondered why trees grow so tall? It's because most trees evolved in a forest and the tallest one got the most light.

you miss the point entirely. evolution is not just about keeping things running in one direction, its all about branching out, and using the WHOLE environment to the BEST of its ability. sure bacteria are the most widespread kingdom, but thats because they have been around the longest and have had time to mutate and change to better adapt to the environment. bacteria evolve much more rapidly because they are so simple. thats the only reason that there are more bacteria. they are simple. they reproduce more quickly. however, evolution isn't simple. it is ever-occuring. bacteria gradually evolved into more complex nuceated cells called protists which in turn gave rise to multicellular organisms. as they grew more complex, sensory organs and organ systems arose to help out the organisms deal with their newfound complexity. so no, bacteria might not need eyes, but humans do. otherwise, they wouldn't be able to see well enough to have good motor skillz. evolution favors complexity and branching out, not staying the same.

1. what is DNA?
2. what is a gene?
Genetic illiteracy has been found to be correlated with the rejection of evolutionary theory, so I guess this would be a simple self test...
