does the i sound like ie as in pie, or does it sound like ee as in dream??

It's definitely pronounced Mee-kah. That's why he changed his name from Mica to Mika because too many people were saying My-kah or even Meesha.

My neighbor's name is Mika and he pronounces it Mee-ka, but that doesn't mean that it is always pronounced that way.
