What level of school are you in? I would never advise anyone of leaving any type of school. Education is very important. Instead either work part time in the evenings or weekends or volunteer for a local animal shelter, its great work experience and the knowledge you gain will go a long way in your future with animals. My oldest daughter helps me with my small animal rescue and the education she's gaining from working for me is invaluable to her future. She's learning grooming, care for many different breeds, diet and nutrition, medical care for emergencies, coping with loss of a pet, etc.. She has a good shot of later working for the vet we use even before she goes to school for any of the animal fields (vet, vet tech, etc.). She has already sacrificed a lot of sleep to help me with sick or dieing animals. Now my just turned 11 yr old has her sisters similar interest with working with the animals, but not the maturity needed yet to cope with everything involved. My vet has even included me to see my own cat operated on when she got a nasty infection from a dog bit (she disappeared for 10 days before she was found like that). She was cut the entire length of her body, from her stomach to her spine and down her right shoulder due to the massive infection. 10 more days in the vets office and 2 weeks quiet time at home in a cage healed her. She is a fully declawed rescued cat that was indoor only kept that escaped on a family member.

Maybe you can work at the vet's at the end of the school day. You don't say which school; high school or college; but do not quit. Maybe you can go on to be a vet or tech. More education equals more money. And you get to do what you love.

you should ask your boss if they can hold a spot until you are done with school if they say yes then finish school. If they say no work there, although fair warning your job and school work might interfere with each other.

What are your chances of doing both? Are you in college or high school? If high school, stay there; if college, can you take classes at night?
