I plan on attending Temple University next winter but I don't want to put my life in danger. I never liked going to school anyway; maybe I should take online courses?

Please....

Do you drive or ride in a car? If so, you should stop because I am sure that somebody died today in a car wreck.

Do you ever fly on a plane? Don't do that either. Remember 9-11?

There are a million things that could get you killed but you do them every day. You have to realize that what happened today was a very sad thing that was the act of one person with a serious problem. The likelyhood of it happening again is slim.

Go to school. Get an education. Don't base your life on the actions of one person acting out.

Of course you should. Its life. When the September 11 attack happened people still worked at the CDC. People still worked in the White House. If we cower from the real world then nothing will ever happen and society will never advance. I say go to college and become smarter maybe you'll solve the solution to accidents like that. Godd Luck with your decision!

BKelley... this is an isolated event. Temple University is a wonderful institution. It's safe as any university can be. You'll have wonderful professors, and you will make so many new friends. Don't allow this to rob you of one of the best times in your life. I loved my years at the university, and will always have that degree and the sweet memories.

Sure you could take online classes, but you would lose the experience. This sort of thing doesn't happen very often, and has bee happening for a very long time. The chances it would be you are slim, but then again you could getr electrocuted by a faulty wire around you computer too. Life is full of risks, When it's you time, it's your time.

Don't worry, you should be fine. I don't recommend you take on-line courses, specially after you have acknowledged the fact that you don't like going to school. You might procrastinate and not finish your school work. Attend the university and please don't use this tragedy as an excuse for not attending. It's for your own good to pursue your education.

Are you kidding? The Virginia Tech thing is not very likely to happen again. There will be more security at colleges now. If you want to live in a box dont go to college.

Yes you should still go. You can be injured anywhere you go and that is just a fact of life. I wouldn't let worry ruin your life and keep you from doing something you want to do. If it is really bugging you can consider online courses...

Well of course you have to continue on with your life. This world is just getting worse and worse. but anything can happen everywhere. Don't just put your life on hold because your afraid of what mite happen to you. When it's time for you to go it's just time and you can't do anything about it. Sitting at home worrying won't do much for you.
