I'm sorry the equation goes like this:

1/x + 1/x+2 < or equal to 4/3

6 answers

1/x+1/x+2≤4/3

Mutliply both sides by 3x:
3+3+6x≤4x
6+6x≤4x
Subtract 6x from both sides:
6≤-2x
Divide -2x from both sides:
-3≤x
The answer is -3≤x<0.

I agree with Geezah. Doesn't make sense if I did the first part 1/x +1/x, it would be .2, now people are assuming x = 1 therefore 1/1+1/1= 2. But if I was to not assume x =1 then it would make .2 which then equation would not make sense.

I’m not positive, but I think you would solve it like this…

1/x+1/x=2
2/x=2
2*2/x=2*2
x=4

4 is not less than/equal to 4/3

Sorry if I did that incorrectly!

1/x + 1/x = 2 <= 4/3? That doesn't make any sense. Could you rewrite that?

1/x+1/x=2
use x as lcd
1+1=2x
2=2x
x=1
therefore 1<4/3
