Residence Inn Hughes centre?

Question

First time in LV with family on a weeked in May.
Not gamblers. Can you give me proper reviw about Residence Inn Hughes centre.. Is it clean?
is it walkable from the strip?is the locality safe for a walk in the late evening while coming back from the strip?
Can i get cabs from the hotel to the airport/strip at anytime, early morning or late night?
My budget is approx 150/night? Any reason for going for some other hotel and not for residence inn?

The Orleans is a great family hotel. Yes, they have a casino, but they won't make you play :) . The Orleans is located about 1 mile west of the strip on Tropicana. They have a free shuttle that runs to the strip about every 20 minutes or you can catch the city bus($2.50 for 24 hour pass)

The Orleans has a 70 lane bowling alley, an 18 screen movie theater, a "Kids Tyme", an arcade, about a dozen good restaurants, a nice pool area, spa, business center, the rooms are very nice and good size(450sq ft) they also have adjoining rooms.

The Prime Rib Loft is one of the very best(#3-moderate price) steakhouses in LV. Their buffet is one of the best(#3) for the money in LV. Their cafe has the best "graveyard" specials(IMHO).

They also have the rooms with the most incredible panoramic view of the strip lights.

We go to LV 2-3 times a year for 2 weeks or more at a time and have for over 20 years. The Orleans is one of our favorites. We stay there, take our friends/family there and recommend the place all the time. Everybody that we have taken or recommended the Orleans to has loved the place.
