Most peoples lives are full of regrets - missed opportunities, wrong decisions, goals not reached - my biggest regret though is something that was way beyond my control - I never got to see my musical idol Frank Zappa play live before his untimely death in December 1993. It still stings today ...

That as I am now on the other side of 50, I regret most those times when I sat around complaining that I had nothing to do, for hours on end, and did nothing. For there is always something to do, a sunset to see, a flower in full bloom, people walking and talking, listen to the wind as it blow gently across ones face, the reading of a good novel. Yes, I regret the fact that I abused the precious time I was given.

Getting an MBA. No lie. I basically got an MBA right after college since I didn't really know what I wanted to do.
I found out after several positions that I just didn't like working in an office, doing the 8-6:30 every day and dealing with the same coworkers.
That took me about 15 years. Now I like what I am doing.

That after taking one computer course in the early eighties, I didn't want to make it my major, and thereby be in a position to benefit from the tremendous growth and demand in the use of computers later in that decade. I should have traveled a lot more.

I only have one regret, being born.
[To the tune of George Harrison’s “Awaiting On You All”
(a.k.a. “Chanting The Name Of The Lord”)]
“Chanting The Name Of The Turd”
a.k.a. “Chanting The Name Of Old Tor”
You may have a smooth grin
Your lies come out deadpan
great communicator, mental masturbator
spent a decade vegetatin’
If you open up your heart
blood will gush right out
your emotions are in your brain
not in replaceable chest spout
By chantin’ the name of old Tor and you will see
it’s worthless as chanting the name of any ole deity
when earthquakes or giant storms come from the sea
its as helpful as if you spent your whole life chantin’ Gumby
yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
You need to cut a fart
all life needs to make gas
if you’re an instigator or alligator
you’re gonna get recycled
If you open up your heart
blood will gush right out
charge gnomes in you chest rent
`cause they’ll never help you out
By chantin’ the name of old Tor and you will see
it’s worthless as chanting the name of any ole deity
`god speed` or Lennon songs in space shuttles ain’t worth a pee
when they go boom you’re toast regardless of your theology
yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
You do need some shelter
reporters love helter skelter
Invest in Mardi Gras beads, not flood wall needs,
and churches go a floatin’
If you open up your heart
there’ll be a blood stream
don’t let the creeps con you
with their minds so freakin’ mean
George sang, “Pope owns 51% of General Motors.”
Harrison was pissed, he only owned 49% of GM stores.
Chant Jehovah, Krishna, Allah, Satan or Tor
They’re equally worthless to help you, that’s for sure
uuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrre

I regret sometimes choosing the well charted, comfortable path, instead of the unknown, and sometimes dangerous path.

In all honesty, I don't have any.
Regret, for me, is redundant and useless.
As I walk the road of Life, there's no room in my backpack for regret.
When we make mistakes and bad choices, we should learn from them, pick ourselves up and move on.
Regret is masochistic.

Not spending enough time with my kids. Don't make the same mistake! Enjoy them while they are growing up.
Peace and every blessing!

"Regret for the things we did can be tempered by time; it is regret for the things we did not do that is inconsolable."
