There are many, many people out there who will be shock, to say nothing of the people in mourning. Does this seem an unreasonable request?

All the answers so far are very valid, I didn't think of the people who can' talk to aroomy or family member or someone...(you all are very patient) I was thinking more along the lines of name-calling and blame-laying....

No, if that is how you feel. However, there are others who need to share and discuss what has happened so they can work through what has happened.
This method of interaction and sharing is the equivalent of the 'group' standing outside their houses sharing the disbelief. And this communication level has given me the opportunity to offer my thoughts love and prayers to those affected by this tragic event from Australia.
I live alone and have no one to share my shock and thoughts with, I am hurting and crying for those involved. And this medium has taken away some of my feeling 'helpless' to let people in the US know we share your pain from 'Down under'.
Best wishes to you.
