It's not like that. I think you have to get up one day, think about it, get mad at the world, go to bed. Get up the next day, get madder, blame others, go to bed. Get up the next day, get madder, etc.
Finally after x amount of days doing this, you have enough anger and blame to act on it.
Not that I'm an expert in homocidal behavior, but I don't think a person just thinks of this while brushing his teeth one day and then blows away two dozen people that same morning.
