The fact that you have an undergraduate degree from a highly rated program will help you get into an MBA program like NYU's. I'm not sure it gives you either more of an advantage or less of an advantage than getting a degree from a comparable undergraduate school.

I would like to give you some advice. Go to a different school for your MBA. The dirty little secret at the top undergraduate business schools is that they take the same classes as the MBA students. I saw it when I was a PhD student at Berkeley, I saw it when I taught at MIT and I saw it when I taught at Wharton.

Getting your MBA at Stern would be redundant. If you go elsewhere, you will get a fresh perspective. And if you can get into Stern, you can probably get into a higher rated MBA program.
