I am sure that, at some point in his life, he would have seen this situation as horrific as we do. Unfortunately, many situations like this are fueled by either rage or some type of degrading situation. The sad thing about this situation is that since he is dead, we will never know what motivated him to shoot all of those people. More that that, he doesn't even have to answer for his actions. My heart goes out to the families of all of the victims.

If the person was a terrorist---yes I believe they could do this horrible thing without remorse---its been done before. But if this person was mentally ill, yes I believe someone could go off the deep end enough to go on a shooting spree. WHo knows what had happened to this person---the question is--couldn't someone that was related to him or maybe one of his friends tell something was happening to him and maybe alert the authorities. I don't think his condition happened overnight.
This is a horrible situation and I feel for all families involved--including the family of the shooter.

That's like asking the question "How could someone ever commit suicide?" Because they wanted to. They were filled with emotion, possibly even blinded by it, and didn't see any other options. I'm not sure if you could even call the shooter "mentally ill" as much as maybe just "homicidal".

If there was remorse or common sense, we wouldn't have these problems.

If it's a public school, it's pretty easy.

This is tragic, but is it really a shock? It shouldn't be. People with guns = death, and unfortunately, if you're not in a safe place, even if you are in a place you think is safe, you can be a target easily.

he killed himself & was distraught over a gf cheating on him... sorry u r upset by this, but people die from AIDS, hunger, poverty; all day long. there r far bigger problems then a random crazy guy, to worry your little mind over; like global warming, AIDS, hunger, poverty stuff like that, then what he national news splashes over the media/Internet

He more than likely just didn't care and was just intent on killing to satisfy his own reasons, whatever they may have been....
