can u give me the differance between dual core and core 2 duo processor?

Dual core is a generic name. It simply means, a processor that has two cores. Core 2 Duo is a brand name, just like Pentium was, it refers to a specific line of processors, that happen to be dual core processors. Pentium Ds are also dual cores, Athlon 64 X2s are as well.
