He is Asian...there is no mention of muslim. He's most likely Chinese or Vietnamese.

People are just trying to start trouble. He could be Asian AND Muslim, but so far they have only reported that he was Asian.

Why is that relevant?
When the news say "Asian" they mean East Asian, so he could be Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Filipino or from South East Asia.
Yet he is also described as 6' tall, so I wouldn't be surprised if in the end the shooter just happens to be your run-of-the-mill redneck.
