The door is supposed to shield you from harmful microwave radiation. If it gets faulty due to age or is faulty due to bad manufacture then you may get cooked.

There may be other safety concerns with microwave radiation *other* than the heating effects.

The oven is a powerful tool. Treat it with extreme respect.

The casing of your microwave oven is shielded, so putting your head next to it won't do anything. You'll have to place your head inside your trusty appliance in order to boost your smartness.

Well, DUH. Jeez, how do you think Bill Gates got so smart? Micro radiation of course. By the way, the annoying protective shells of microwaves block the waves. So you should take it apart and then try to fire it up. Oh, and you get better results if you get the microwave all wet, then stand in a puddle of water. Good luck!! :D

The waves that come out of the microwave are "toxic" and they can seriously injure your brain or any other bodily organs. If a pregnant woman were to put her unborn child next to the microwave (yes, while it is working) then her child has a great chance of getting birth defections and the child may encounter health problems while it is alive.
