I am 21 weeks pregnant with a baby boy, just found out April 13th = ]

Well I think it's very funny how teenagers and younger woman, right after they have sex they immediately think they feel symptoms of pregnancy; just because they KNOW the common symptoms such as Nausea, vomitting, and urinating more.

More times then not they aren't pregnant. They either feel guilty about having sex, or are scared to get pregnant. It's just sad, to see that a lot. They should be using protection. PILL & CONDOMS!

But me complaining won't change them, of course. I just wanted to see how many agree with me that it's psychosomatic. Input???? Thanks so much.

I agree that people get very psychosomatic about pregnancy symptoms--and I would argue that its not just limited to teenagers. When my husband and I were trying to conceive I convinced myself numerous times that I was having pregnancy symptoms (though I never thought so IMMEDIATELY after sex)

When my husband and i first starting trying to have a baby or at least when i stopped taking the pill every month when i didn't start i would get really manic about it. I didn't start because my body was trying to regulate it self without the hormaones from the pill. 13 months later after i kinda forgot we were even trying. My breasts definatley gave it away. Both times i knew i was pregnant before i was even late because i could no longer sleep on my stomache without my boobs killing me. But i totally agree about the pills and condoms. My husband and i were together for 12 years before i stopped taking the pill. People thought we couldn't have kids because we waited till we were married and ready.

heh yeah I can see your point, I wasnt really like that luckily cause for one, i had no idea I was pregnant (well had slight suspicions) and two I pretty much had no symptoms/morning sickness/ anything like that except for a one off. Until I hit about 7 weeks that is.. then the super sense of smell kicked in :S lol But apart from that ive been pretty damn lucky, if it werent for my stomach I wouldnt even know I was pregnant.. although at 30 weeks its getting ALOT more obvious now :S

i think it has a lot to do with young women being SCARED of being pregnant. I thought i was pregnant sooooo many times before i actually was, i didnt even take a test right away. i thought i was just psyching my self out AGAIN. but i was pregnant. when you are younger you dont want to be pregnant so any little change in your body you freak. as soon as your period is late you start convincing yourself your breasts are sore, and your stomach is getting bigger. its definitely all in your head.
