I've been on depo since Sept, & I had very little random spotting, and I always spotted around a week before the next shot to the week after I recived the shot. Now, out of nowhere I'm having a really heavy & painful period. The day after I started this period I got the first of 3 shots for Quardacil. I don't think that is realated. What is going on, is this normal?

No i wasn't told to take anything, they just ask if I gain weight each time. Is it suppose to cuase back pain as well? I was seriously considering Nuva ring.

depo puts the body through all kinds of turmoil. I had a period that lasted for 3 months before they had to give me premarin to stop it. then it took a year after stopping it to have another one. I am a nurse but i also took it and am VERY antidepo. I know when they first put you on it they told you to take calcium suplements. Well they are not playing, the depo pulled the calcium from my teeth and i lost two of my back molars. I hate depo with a passion. If you have any alternative maybe you should reconsider.

the first year you are on depo can be quite weird for periods. prior to depo, I had very long, 7 - 8 days worth of long heavy periods like clockworks every 4 weeks. Once on depo, I have one period, same length of time, but very light, right around the same time I have my shots. Every now and again, I have these periods that just seem to last forever, like 10 days or so. All totally normal according to my doctor.

i have no idea what quardail is, so I cannot comment on it.
