so x = -4... so walk 4 steps to the left of the origin (0,0)...

and y = 5... so walk up 5 notches...

Yes... TRUE... the point (-4, 5) is located in quadrant II

Problem 10:

y = x.... is already in the general line equation y = mx + b format... where m is the slope... and b is the y-intercept...

so... in y = x.... that is the same as saying y = 1x....

so m = 1.... and and the statement is TRUE.

10. y= mx +b is the general form. m is the
slope and b is the y intercept.
If y = x then m=1, so the slope is 1.
