I had the LEEP done on November 2, 2006. Then on March 16 I went to have a pap smear. Today I just found out that I have abnormal cells again.

I had the leep procedure done in 2002, and have remained cancer free since ( thank you god & knock on wood )
I guess it all really depends, everyone is different. What are they going to do for you now as far as removal? Are you a smoker? They say smoking increases chances of cervical changes.

I've never had a LEEP done...but may I suggest going to a naturopathic doctor that can do an escharotic (cant spell it) treatment...these work for me and there is no pain at all...its just like the acid treatment but far less discomfort. and I have had normal paps months later from my regular ob/gyn

I had the leep but I have had normal paps for two years. You probably have HPV which is a virus..it can come and go. You probably need to go back to the Dr. and see what's next, to prevent cervical cancer...possibly removing the cervix.. Good Luck~

have you had the CA125 blood test as of yet? And if you have concerns you should write them down and take with you to doctors appointment. Don't let him go from your room until you have the answers you want and need for the peace of mind you deserve. Some doctors are so busy they forget the feelings of their patients and let things slide that shouldnt.
