How about we do these other things too?

*Establish the Anti-Offensive Speech Police to fine and/or imprison anyone who says anything offensive to various protected groups.

*Eliminate freedom of religion and make Islam the official religion of the US—you can’t have religious intolerance when we all have the same religion!

*Remove all masculine words from the English language (his, him, Mr., etc.) and discourage any emphasis on gender or sex. Also, change “God the Father” to “God the Parent.”

*Eliminate the right to public assembly; after all, when people are in groups, bad things can happen.

*Eliminate the right to a trial by jury. If someone is innocent, a federally appointed judge should be sufficient.

*Eliminate the right to illegal search and seizure—those who have nothing to hide have nothing to fear.

Americans hate there rights being taken away from them so it's impossible to ban guns, everyone has a right to bear arms in this incident the gunmen had some emotional problems that he wanted to inflict harm and kill by a gun to relieve those stresses because nobody wanted to help him before he went to violence and shot these 31 students. We need to make sure people seek help when they get in a mood to harm themselves or others.

You know 66% of Americans are upset with Bush, and we were given the right to bare arms in case our goverment ever started taking our freedom away, but here is a unitisipated problem.

Our Govemernment has grown to strong, does anyone think there little handgun or shitgun is going to be able to stop them?

We as a people dont need to hunt for our food as a nessasity.
And a handgun did very little to prevent 9/11

It seems to me that handguns are good for 2 things and thats robing and kiling poeple.

But you know the criminals have them so must those of us who get victimized by them.

I say all Americans should have a gun, but the constitution says nothing about the right to have the amunition that goes in them.

So we all should have guns, but we should ban bullets!

Its the bullet that kills!

ok? what does any of that have to do with outlawing guns?? guns KILL people, trial by jury doesn't, illegal search and seizure doesn't, masculine words don't, belief in god doesn't, and neither does offensive speech...so your argument makes no sense...

having said that, i am not in favor of making guns illegal...i don't think people should have automatics though...because lets face it, you don't hunt deer with a machine gun.

You still can't take away the fact that marijuana has killed 0 people since the beginning of this earth but still remains illegal.

Gun owners should take note of that before criticizing marijuana users. So its a two edged sword.

*I do get the link between gun crime and drugs. All drugs including Heroin were legal before the start of the 20th century but who made them illegal which would make them a crime?

God planted it here for us to use, not abuse. It was Mr Aspirin who gave the world Heroin on a mass scale and his other product is available advertised on television today. Its called Hypocritical and its all around us.

You forgot:

* Eliminate habeas corpus so the government has the right to indefinitely hold anyone they please without providing access to a lawyer or a trial.
