Hello, I'm trying to get pregnant and like an idiot I just to Advil, though I know you are only supposed to take Tylenol during pregnancy. So my question is, if I am pregnant, do you think one dose of Advil will have a negative effect?

No. Ibuprofen (the active ingredient of Advil) is only dangerous during the third trimester. You'll be fine.

i should think that is only something a qualified pharmacist or doctor can answer though it isn't recommended to take advil during pregnancy. However many women will have taken it for headaches etc before they realised they were pregnant and then everything turned out fine. So don't worry too much unless you really feel ill (im not a medic but just what i think) and if so consult your doc. Otherwise stick to tylenol in future.

No, taking it once is ok. Actually, taking it occsaionlly is alright. It's in the 3rd trimester that it should be avoided altogether.

i don't think it will have a negative effect as long you don't do it again and it was just one pill.
