at home pregnancy tests are improving more and more. You can now find out before you even miss your period. well I sould add that SOME can find out before a missed period. every one is different. you do need to have had the egg implant itself in the uterus before the hormone HCG will be released into your system. Implantation can take 7-14 days to implant. So 7-14 days after you ovulate you can start testing. But don't trust a negative right off the bat. A negative could just mean that it is too early FOR YOU to test +.
I had a + only 10 days after ovulation a full 4 days before my period was even due.
I hope this helps.

usually most home pregnancy tests are able to pick up the hormone from the first day of a missed period not before.
but if it came back negative and you still think you could be pregnant or still don't come on then do another test 3-5 days later.

Blood tests can detect the pregnancy hormone soon after conception. At home, there are the tests that detect the same hormone 5 days before your missed period. Best of Luck.

After a missed period, or some tests like first response claim they can detect it 5 days before your missed period.

5 days before your missed period according to the first response system, but i wouldnt trust that. The best time to test is in the morning at your first urine.

A very early pregnancy test can tell you a few days before you expect your period.
