first work out the brackets
So 5(11-9)^2 + 75(-2) = 5(2)^2 + 75(-2)
= 5(4) + 75(-2)
= 20 - 150
= -130

1. First solve within the parentheses.
2. Next square the answer within the parentheses.
3. Multiply the answer by 5.
4. Add them together.

1. 5(11-9)(squared)=5(2)squared, and 75(-2)=-150
The problem becomes 5(4)- 150
2. 5(4)=20
3. 20-150= -130
