Ignore it, most probably it is a scam. Don't loose your money.

It's pretty good in Nigeria. It is a family oriented country. The climate is pretty hot. The busiest places that you can stay are in Lagos, or Abuja. Health is an issue besides your everyday mosquitos. The electricity alters. You may have NEPA, Nigerian Energy something something, which with die off occasionally, and you would go turn on the generator. The schools have uniforms and are disciplined. But like everyother place, the do have criminals (God forbid that they come to you!!). The transportation is varied. You can ride the public buses, get a personal driver, or drive yourself. The highways can be very crowded as well. You can literally stick your hand out of the window and touch another car. The land is veery fertile, and the houses are great for keeping you cool in the heat. Overall, Nigeria is a great place to be. Trust me! You'll love it and have fun. I should know this stuff because I am a Nigerian and have heen there many times.
HAVE FUN!!!! and don't listen to anyone who says it's bad. They have no Nigerian experience at all! If you want, you can visit before you move. The villages are especially hospitable.

Despite all of the stereotypes, Nigeria is very nice. It is a warm, tropical place (think of Florida) with palm trees. The food in Nigeria is very spicy, but healthy. Nigeria does not have a lot of wildlife, no cheetahs, lions, elephants....
The health issues are similar to America. You can get malaria though, and I would suggest you get a Hepatitis B shot. Nigeria has a lot of Western influence. There's running water, electricity, cell phones, computers, and all the benefits of the Western world if you live in the urban area. Also, Nigerians speak 510 languages, but you can get around with just English.
It is pretty safe and beautiful. You can take your family out there and you will enjoy your stay.
Have fun!

Climate wise it is moderate climate with heavy monsoons. There is really no lifestyle in Nigeria. Health issues are many, to start with malaria and many water borne and mosquito borne diseases. Very poor infrastructure. No good schools and the international schools are very very expensive.
As for safety, the lesser said the better. It is a very unsafe place, very unstable politically, has one of the highest crime rates in the world, is amongst the worst countries for corruption and is one place definitely avoidable.

Though many Indians work in Nigeria and find the ways and means to live their life there, yet they miss India a lot. For better insight of Nigeria (Particularly the place where you are heading for), you should either get in touch with Indian Embassy in Nigeria and seek answers to your questions or get in toch with Nigerian Embassy located in Vasant Vihar New Delhi for (atleast) some inputs.

again it depends on where u go in nigeria. nigeria has over 36 states. i have lived in nigeria some places worse than iraq in battle, others can be compared to hollywood in usa. your company should prepare ur house, company car, driver and things like that(normal expatraite offer). anyway just an example of what u might run into. there is ignorance from many, can't blame them tho.

You are better off in India. Nigeria is unhealthy and the crime rate is many times higher than India, corruption is rampant.
You go alone, make the money and leave the family in India and then later go back home
