absolutely!!! the tingle lotions contain ingredients that increase your blood circulation to help u get a darker tan...i have been using tingle lotions for more than 5 years now & i wouldn`t consider using anything else!!! i even use them when i tan outdoors...pro tan makes a nice one called "hot tottie", it`s quite reasonable in price (about $20 a bottle) & works very well...before i started using the tingle lotions, i was at a stand-still with my color, but i knew i could get darker, & as soon as i switched i got super dark!!! so, yeah, tingle is definitely the way to go!!! happy tanning!!!

tingly lotion has a stimulant in it that brings the blood to the surface of the skin, I don't recommend it if you have sensitive skin or don't like a "burny" sensation.
As far as your plateau.....use a bronzer if you are trying to get darker quicker. Your skin pigment can only get so dark. More exposure will deepen your tan, but a different lotion won't. Lotions are good to hydrate the skin and keep it from drying out while you tan, but buying those expensive ones isn't any better than a really good regular lotion.

Tingle comes from something in the lotion, For your best tan, I would go up a bronzer, There are levels, so just move up a step. Also, if you have sensitive skin, do not use tingle lotions, your skin will not tingle, but instead burn.

I have the same problem the best tanning lotion is AVEDAs Sun Source it works with the mellinen in your skin (that is what makes the color in your skin) It DOES NOT turn orange and it lasts a really long time. It will not show up right away it takes 24 hours to show up but you can keep reapplying it as mush as you want and it gets darker every time you use the lotion.

I was told that tingle makes you more red in the beginning. Personally, I use a step 2 dark tanning blend. It's called Ambrosia Dark Frost Cooling Maximizer. It's by California Tan. I'm relatively pale and this stuff definitely helps boost the color.
