If you had asked who the worst front man of all time is, the answer is simple, Bono.

But enough of my Bono hating.

The Worst Band of all time is Creed. Luckily, this is not a point of view, but a fact.

In the early 90's Pearl Jam was a top act. They made one of the best selling albums of all time, had the greatest sophomore debut of all time (until NSYNC broke the record in 2000), and sold out every arena. Unfortunately, Pearl Jam did not handle success well, shunned the press, did virtually no promotion, and put out more "artsy albums" that were still excellent, but hardly played well on main stream radio like their previous efforts.

In this, there was a gap to be filled. Creed came along and completely took Pearl Jam's sound. From the heavy riffing and leads, to the baritone scratchy voice, to the unique song structures, Creed simply rehashed Pearl Jam's first two albums. In fact, they gained popularity by covering Pearl Jam's songs in bars. So my first point is they are not innovative, they are a band that went from covering the band to imitating the band.

The next fact is the song and bands inspiration, God. With a name like Creed, and songs about hell, redemption, and church, they catered to the Christian rock crowd... a large portion of the market. I can't hold this against them, it was a wise business decision. However, the lead singer, Scott Stapp, did not follow the lifestyle he promoted. From alcohol abuse to sex tapes with strippers and groupies, Scott like the Rock & Roll lifestyle, not the straight laced one he promoted, or his fans believed in.

I could go on forever, but my final major fact is the band was actually sued by the fans. Scott Stapp was so drunk for one concert, he slurred through some of the songs, and laid down on stage and did not sing others. Fans traveled far, made arrangements to get off of work, and paid good money for the concert. They put a class action law suit together for a refund to all ticket holders to this event.

Creed broke up, with the band members and lead singer on bad terms from one another. They have publicly trashed each other in the media, and have quite a dislike for one another.

They had it all, but sold out their fans, religious idealist, and themselves. The band's name is funny, because one little line on the "C" will change the name of the band to what they truly were: Greed.

How can you say that Green Day is the worst rock band ever? If you would grow up and listen to all there CD's instead of the one you only see on MTV then you would realize they are not bad at all. They are considered one of the best bands ever. Oh my god your stupid. Go f*ck yourself for being so ingnorant.

(talking to girl above who said it or anyone who says it)

ANYWAY, i think one of the worst bands is The Darkness. Just weird and not a good bit of sound at all.
