Yes, but you'll need to budget.

$11.00 per hour is not enough to support you any where. If you are paying rent, utilities, groceries, car/gas, bills and general expenses, I don't know how you could do that.

I guess I don't know the standard of living in Nashville so I should not have answered this question. But I think you might need a room mate to share expenses.

Personally? I'd think you'd be in good stead anywhere if you were careful. Too many of us live beyond our means having no plan nor thought for the future. Yeah, you're always gonna find people who make more than you do and less than you do. It's you personally. What you're going to do. Treat it like ammunition. It doesn't fall out of the trees for anybody. Specially in these tough times. Never mind what the statistics say.

Statistically that is right at the poverty level for a family of 4.

$11/hour works out to just over $22K/year before taxes.

No, unless you live with a roomate or something, come to Kingsport Tenn. I made it on 8.00 an hour, starved sometimes but was able to pay all my bills. Any large city you are going to pay more in rent and most everything. Just the way it is.
