what are school official doing to solve or reduce this problem, i'm afraid to go to college anymore of being scared of being shot, because some kid had a bad life experience or weekend; is anyone feeling me out there. What happen today in virginia is sad!

If more law-abiding people were armed, less of this would happen.
The monster knew the students would be unarmed.
School massacres don't happen in inner-city schools, do they? I wonder why?

Schools can ban weapons on campus. That kind of rule will only work if students break the silence and report when they see contraband on campus. That said today's events are a rare occurance and you are safe on most college campuses most of the time. We, in the US forget that danger is a posibility in the real world. You are safe most of the time and in most places. When danger rears it's ugly head use common sense and do the best you can. This is NOT a good reason to forget going to college. Your actual risk is low. The benifit you would get from a college education is great. Don't let one madman keep you from having the courage to fulfill you dreams.
