I think his firing probably only makes sense because of the sponsors he lost and the wuss politicians that were on his show don't want anything to do with him anymore. He was also dumb for apoligizing repeatedly and going on Al Sharpton's show of all places. Al Sharpton, what a hyprocrite, but that's another story. It wasn't going to take rocket science for what happened there. But for Imus being fired for making a "racist" comment, that's just ridiculous. He made one, stupid, lame, 3 word comment about a basketball team. I bet none of them have listened to or even heard of Don Imus. I don't even care much for listening to Don Imus, he's a grouchy DJ with very mediocre material. All of us should realize this is the US and supposedly there is freedom of speech. If someone tries to hurt or even kill you with words they say on radio or TV, they have this little thing called the "Power" button. Just press it and you don't have to see or hear that person/show ever again.

Very true, this is 100% right and this is a total freedom of speech issue. And I love listening to O&A, they are the only ones who have th ebackbone enough to actually speak out about this injustice, Sharpton and Jackson are hypocrites who have each made extremely racists comments that go overlooked. His firing was wrong, even if you did nto find what he said funny, he still has the right to say as he pleases. It is disgusting that people everyday get blasted and punished simply for amking a joke.

It was wrong, but expression is a matter of opinion. Unfortunately, most that were offended never even knew who the man was or even listened to him.
Al Sharpton is a silver tongue devil just like all democrats, he is as hypocritical as they come, and he will get his in the end.
