What do the people think. How can we bring it up for a national vote also? Or how could we bring it up for a state vote?

It is written thou shalt not kill.
No matter how small, once a being is conceived, should wait until it can speak for him/her self, before calling the baby a mistake.

Our tax $ indirectly fund them through Government paid insurance companies, who pay the insurance company, who pay for the abortion.

I don't understand people who get nasty about this--if the American people vote for it, it should be around, and if they vote against it, it shouldn't be. People can get so nasty about abortion being a right that they forget about other American rights--like voting and democracy. That said, I would only be vehement on voting about abortion because of state funding. If my tax dollars affect it, I want to vote on it. It's that simple.

If it goes through the proper ways of getting to be made into a ballot, yes we should if it is state or federal vote.
That said, the top national courts of our country has got it settled for now. You need enough people interested and the number of signatures to put it up for the vote. Then you have to see if it is a legal vote.It is a long process and a major commitment.
We had someone that wanted to make marriage between a man and woman only if they could have children. No one else could get married, this was unconditional and never got to even pass the first stage of the process.
If you could get even the vote to go your way, that would be a miracle indeed.

It is a federal constitutional issue. It has to be national to be legal. The supreme court probably would refuse to even hear a case in which a state bans abortion and a lower federal court rules it unconstitutional due to the deliberate attempt to subvert federal law.
No I don't think it should come up for vote. Because doctors are not the ones that want abortions. Abortion is an issue that should be studied and all need of it removed by changing culture and improving science. It should not be hidden by a silly law.

Yes, it should be right along with the issue of Illegal Immigration and amnesty. If it saves either the life of the baby or the mother and in cases of rape it should be allowed, by informed Choice. They should also be informed that the RU 496 pill has side effects and women have been dying in Europe, after taking them. Women shoulld also be Told what the possible side effects are and the emotional distress they may encounter, to include the possibility of death and sterility! After all, taxpayers are the ones paying for most of them.

It's settled law. The only way it gets re-visited is if it makes it to the Supreme Court for another look. The Roe v. Wade ruling seems a little complex and convoluted. I personally think it should be a state's rights issue and being so would wind up being legal in most states anyway. The inherant inequity in the law needs to be revisited.
To togsled: We live in a REPUBLIC not a democracy. We should not vote on EVERYTHING or that is all we would be doing.

It's a civil rights issue, and those shouldn't be left to the general public. The courts are the ultimate authority on this because the will of the majority should never take away the rights of the minority, and vice versa.
If it was up to the voters to decide, many places in the south would still outlaw interracial marraige.
If you don't like it, don't have one. It's not your right to tell others how they should live their lives, only when it impacts your rights.

Anyone who has ever voted in the USA,for an elected official, "has" voted for,or against abortion. Ideally, you vote for the candidate of your choice, based on his stance on issues such as abortion et. al.

Absolutely NOT!!! There are WAY too many uninformed voters out there to turn over such an important and sensitive issue to them. God forbid.....look who they voted in as president not once but twice!
