What is a good background for an academic challange school webpage?

I am in charge of making a webpage on our school site about academic challange. In case you don't know what academic challange is it's just a school club where we go to a meet and answer questions and stuff.

My suggestion would be formulas, calculations, text and pictures in a decoupage.

How about "The Thinker"? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Thinker. You could show him from several angles.

It could also just be question marks or a single question mark formed by a cloud.
