I have actually noticed that fat people do wear flip-flops more often than skinny people. They also wear them more often durring the winter.

HHMMM I haven't noticed that at all, as a matter of fact I have seen quite the opposite. I see mostly teenagers wearing them to show off their brightly painted toe nails!!!!!!!

Many overweight people have hurting feet. They also have difficulty finding shoes that are nonrestrictive, thus not hurting their feet further. Flip-flops are often the only shoes that offer their feet some degree of protection when outside. They may not necessarily be comfortable for them, but at least they offer more comfort than regular shoes. Chances are they are not wearing the flip-flops when at home...rather choosing bedroom slipper or going barefoot.

Have you not noticed that a lot of people wear flip flops all the time. Its because they are cheap...well unless your one of those idiots who spends 30 dollars on one pair. And also because they are comfortable.

Why does anyone wear flip-flops? They don't look good on anybody, but they are comfortable. And if you are overweight and heavy or your feet sweat, that comfort is priceless.

well, I am fat and I wear flip flops all the time because my feet are able to spread out properly to support my massive girth. I wear really big flip flops too so that when my knees finally buckle under the weight of my @ss, I will have something for them to land on.

maybe bcuz all the shoes in the market dunot fit their feet..or too tight n flip flops r comfortable..watever they like!

I've see Asian people wear them, Somolian people wear them, and American people wear them during every season. I don't think it has to do with skinny or fat.

probably cuz their feet bloat up when doing a log of walking and thus shoes become that much more uncomfortable. I know it's a sick sight to see esp. cuz many of these fat people have unsightly feet.

Because over weight people suffer from over-heating of the body. Flip Flops help them stay acceptably warm.
