aww .. bless her heart, Im sorry! ... the mittens may fall off. I would use long socks and tuck them in a long sleeved sleeper. They do have the sleepers with the mittens built in but try the socks til you can get some
good luck.

Same problem here!!!!
i have found some sleepers that have the piece of fabric that goes over the hand very helpful. They are easy to find in newborn, but I found Just One Year from target fits my 4 1/2 month old. Mittens just make my baby MAD.
Best of luck!!!

The scratching is probably due to some irritation or allergy of the baby's skin. The case could be the soap you are using, the cold weather, or even the clothing. It is better to use a dermatologically tested antiallergic soap for babies , do not use woolen or nylon or other synthetic material and preferably use soft cotton for covering the child or for her clothing. Finally if the scratching is too much it s better to consult a doctor who will probably prescribe a light antihistaminic sirop .

The mittens will work. I think because she is teething maybe is why she is doing that. You will have to keep her entertained. Give her a toy or teething ring so she will stop scratching herself. Maybe also, try some baby ambusol and see if that stops or controls it. You would have to try different things. She will eventually break out of it. Be blessed

I would suggest the mittens. If you can't get to the store tonight try putting socks on her hands.

So sorry! I know how awful this is. My daughter used to chew on her fingers until they bled! I asked the doctor what to do, and she said to tie socks onto her hands. She was over 6 months old, so that didn't seem appropriate. Luckily, she stopped doing it. But, I know how frustrating it is, and you can't understand how they could hurt themselves so bad that they bleed!
Do you think her face is itchy, or she's just not aware that she is doing it? Do you ever see her doing it?

Use some loose winter mittens if you can get to the store right away.

You can get sleep suits with anti-scratch mattens built in, if you cant, buy a light cotton one with cuffs and cut the cuff on one side to open it then fold it over her hands, this will gently stop her scratching.. good luck.

I think the mittens may be the only choice, my son gets himself every once in awhile...It's awful looking, but he never seems to notice.
