My "bookmark" drop down is gone. It was up by "File", "Edit", "tools", "History", "Help" and now it is not. How do I get it back?

Sounds like it has been corrupted; Go to your User Directory, and look for Favorites, if it is no longer listed as a STAR under your User ID, then the association is gone.
I would copy the Favorites that are there. Then try using the Import Option under FILE, see if that Restores your Favorites.
If not. Download IE 6 again, and reinstall it. Then after a Successful install, reimport the Faves to directory using File then Import, and it should show up the same way

With IE 7, the bookmarks are access by the Gold Star in the menu. (Or you can use the Crtl+B keyboard shortcut)
