80GB Video Ipod

Amazon.co.uk - £210
Amazon.com - £126 (converted from $ today at xe.com)

Now delivery costs aside, what tax and other costs can I expect to pay on importing one? Plugs etc are not an issue as I have all that from my previous Ipod.

Im pretty sure I can still save money and am determined to beat the 'rip off britain' culture and make use of the weak $.

Just need to know if its worth it but Im unsure as to taxes and customs charges. Do customs just bill me for 17.5% or am I missing something?

Thanks guys

Generally, goods imported from outside the E.U. will get hit for around 30% in import duty, V.A.T. and brokerage fees - if they get stopped and checked by H.M. Customs (the fees take into account the postage cost, too).
If they don't get checked, then you don't pay a penny extra...
