Open control panel, and choose add/remove programs. Click on it and the click remove. From what I have been told, it is detrimental to have more than one anti virus program.

click start menu,
control panel,
add or remove programs,
find norton anti-virus and click remove

You can usnistall it by going to control panel and uninstall it. Make sure to uninstal all the files that is about norton.
