You can't change the way men percieve women, only the way they percieve you. The way a man percieves people in general is a result of the learning and experiences of his life. You can not make him change his whole perception, but you can earn his respect and change how he looks at you.

good women and good men getting more power
i just read about the book that won pulitzer prize this year and it was what about, a man=the survivor and his son after a cataclism, the woman suicided because of possible sexual abuses against her in a cataclismic lost civilisation
i just hated the guy, the writer -why he won ? why?
in the roman empire it was assumed by law that the man is going to survive any woman, that is why in the case of an event, the heir of the father inherited all the fortune not from the mother's side, but this was 2000 years ago
meanwhile there were many christian women saints and this writer comes and wipes out half of the population just like that
this is the terror that made women slaves, servants, small -because they can't fight physically or be distructive like that
some can, but not those with different education
i think that mr. writer , those who gave him pulitzer prize and anyone like them should be not getting any kind of power
as another answer said education is the key
if the earth is educated and by society naturally women have control even in an event of a cataclism women won't be hurt, because they were educated in equality view and the men too, they would see women as equal, only a person like mr. writer who saw women as not equal will discover how it is easy to make slaves
i despise this writer so much i spit on his book, he is psychology terrorist because predicts horrible future views, that creates only confusion and hatrid
i mean come on, the guy fantasises about destroying the world and they give him an award?what's next, to really destroy something and award him?
while jesus christ was so popular among the peaceful ones and those who were not rich and powerful slave owners who ruled society because they could kill and hurt others
because jesus came with a solution, the end is good, do not let the bad people scare you, god will save you, miracles happen
come on we just started to have a good time and have a nice civilisation and some can't just wait to see it vanished
i 've got news for you , earth is going to live well and so will us

I believe it’s always first the realization and then the action. Men need to realize that the world has beauty in the form of woman. However not beauty to the eyes but women and men are equally part of the beautiful world. Woman and men work together to bring the world together. The realization can only come if they are willing to put their cultural/ religious believes on the side. Changes such as these only take time and its really educating each other on every opportunity we have. Teaching younger generations the meaning of equality will lead to equal perception of women. To me it seems as if younger children are mesmerized by the materialistic world more than focusing themselves their values. People’s social world and family have large impact on their thinking. One needs to step aside and evaluate their beliefs rather than believing whatever comes their way. Woman now are working more than ever shoulder to shoulder with men. There are women that are truck drivers or construction workers. The stereotypes need to be broken so that the lucid picture of equality and opportunity can be created; that is especially for the younger children for who we putting forth pictures how the world “should” be rather “can be.” We need to bring the change in order for it to happen; because things tend to become more distorted by time rather than become organized. Let’s teach and learn how the world can be at its best.

Men need to lead each other.
Look at the military. They train 'em young, and they're easily brainwashed and stay this way forever. So the current military (since WWI) has taught the boys to drool over woman and objectify the women. Kinda like the military said, "Here have some smokes and visit the whore house" (History Channel) ... well, if the USA military did the opposite we'd have a larger population of respecting men who stay that way forever.
Additionally, it doesn't help when a man drools over a woman like Anna Nicole, or Paris Hilton and then say, "She asked for it" ... When men learn that when they encourage these women, they get more like these women. I guess that's why we're at the trend we're at now ... men are demanding .. and the men have no self control.
Isn't it the men who want to be leaders??? Well, if they want to lead, they need to lead the other boys first. They can do this through being strong grandfathers, fathers, uncles, brothers, co-workers, and friends verses pimps they've accustomed to in today's culture. They can do so by passing laws to protect the children from sexual predators. Pass laws to contain pornographic images on public television, Internet, and magazines. Pass laws to protect the women from domestic violence. Do their duties by being family even if a divorce occurs; children do need male role models (unless he's a pervert). Child custody laws need to change to make time available for the fathers (men have rights too). If the man's in a good family he needs to reach out to his childreens friends and be a role modle for them if they are fatherless.

How can we change the way women percieve(sic) men?
The answer to both questions is surprisingly...
DANCE WITH THEM.
Believe it or not, you learn a LOT about the opposite sex by dancing with them.
Seriously.

Women should work on being more reasonable and accountable. Lack of denial of these shortcomings goes a long way too. I know, not all women are lacking in these things and some guys are worse than women in this regard. Guys have their own stuff to work on, but it's certainly not reason, and it really isn't accountability either. It's not acceptable for a man to be unaccountable, and it's more obvious. Too many women who think they're highly accountable will regularly engage their men in ludicrous conversations about responsibility, money, and romance. I know it's tough to stomach, but it's reality. You might not believe it, but I have both gender's best interests in mind here.

Its deeper than rap movies. commercial rap has in ordinary terms been on the scene for 30 years or so and rap movies even much less. Sisters have been the object of want for adult adult males all international huge for 1000's of years. Its with regards to the colour, curves and style of our sisters. they have all of it. an uncomplicated diagnosis of the extremes that non-black women absolutely everyone seems to be dealing with to aquire black effective factors says all of it. They understand what adult adult males of their way of existence rejoice with; its no longer a secret. the unhappy section is now some sisters are going the different path attempting to disguise their Afrocentric effective factors. seems we are all somewhat puzzled.

It's not just men.. women perceive women in certain ways as well. We're all poisoned by the dogma of this society, even feminists - but at least feminists are aware of it. All I can think of is creating further awareness, but how can we do that? The name "feminist" has been tainted by misogynists and Conservatives, and young women are discouraged from learning anything about it (otherwise they are ugly, man-hating lesbians, ya know). We've moved from second-wave feminism into post-feminism instead of third-wave feminism, patriarchy is alive and well, and it will take a mass effort and change of thought to change it. When I started taking Women's Studies and Sociology at University, I was floored by it, and upset that I hadn't been exposed to truths like that before.
Education and awareness are key. Women's Studies should be taught in high schools as an elective. All people should have equal access to universities. That is all I can think of...
