My father in law was a very personable person and you would never know that he had some major insecurities unless you really knew him. When he died, he had a huge number of people show up for his visitation and funeral. While the family was receiving people on the front pew, I could almost see Tom sitting at the end of the pew, saying "Why didnt yall say this stuff about me when I was alive?" I just hope someone says something nice about me or that I made a difference in someones life.

My father-in-law was a wonderful man. He refereed for the Southwest Conference, was actively involved in the Lighthouse For the Blind Organization, and I could go on and on. At his funeral, everyone talked about him so nicely. Then his brother in law said something I've always wondered about. He said, There wasn't a soul alive who didn't like Scatter... well, wait, there was that guy down inLaredo that night."
I've alway wondered just what Scatter ( his nickname) would be doing in that border town. God bless him !!!

He was humble and wise. When someone is wise it doesn’t mean that he has just understanding and knowledge, but that he practices and applies sound reasoning in his life.
