when you format your D:\ drive, all datas will be lost on D:\ .

d:/ drive is normally your DVD/CD drive and unless you have a rewritable DVD/CD rom in there you can't format it

Now if you have two hard drive in your computer that is another thing,,,,

have you got two hard drives in your computer?..
