"George Little, a CIA spokesman, said the agency does not generally comment on reports of information from foreign partners, but noted that the Le Monde story "merely repeats what the U.S. government knew and reported before Sept. 11 — that al-Qaida was interested in airliner plots, especially hijackings," Little said.
"The article does not suggest that U.S. or foreign officials had advance knowledge of the details surrounding the Sept. 11 plot. Had the details been known, the U.S. government would have acted on them.""
You do realize that the CIA receives information on thousands of possible threats a day... There is no evidence that they had any specifics of the plot itself. Other than Frankfurt as a possible launch site and a few possible airline targets. Did you even read the article?

Are you really that naive? (There's a nice french word for you as well)
Do you have any idea how many flights there are in the US on a daily basis? And you expect the CIA to be able to pick out the exact planes on the exact day, MONTHS later?
Read the damn article. It even says, "It wasn't about a specific airline or a specific day, it was not a precise plot," Lorenzi told The Associated Press. "It was a note that said, 'They are preparing a plot to hijack an airplane, and they have cited several companies.'"

Here's a suggestion... why don't you try reading the article you referred to?
In the article it clearly states: "At the time, Lorenzi said, officials had heard echoes only about a standard hijacking — they had no idea al-Qaida planned to slam planes into buildings..."
So, by the article YOU referred to, they had no idea exactly WHEN, or WHAT the terrorist activity would be, only that they were planning something. (Oh, and by the way, a 'standard hijacking' involves ransom... not what happened on 9/11.

the easy thank you to punish Ann Coulter is to diminish your subscription because of the fact the paper includes her column. tell them why you're combating in case you experience that strongly approximately it. even though, be confident to need to start a boycott for something like that. Watchdogs are particularly circumstances efficient. they only regularly are not to picky approximately who they chew. the popular public can weed out the BS from the reality.
