Simple answer No!!! Years of experience in retail sector and currently a part-time manager for bookstore!!
If you continually make mistakes however they can give you disciplinary action but not take the cash from your wages!! If however you work for a small independently owned shop the owner may be allowed to take the cash from your wages if they can prove you made the mistake in handing out too much change. As for the big retailers no they cannot take the money from your wages because so many people usually go on one till throughout the day, and thus it cannot be proved that it was you that made the mistake!!

Depends on your terms of employment and what you agreed to at the time of your appointment.Why do you make mistakes on your till?Do you undercharge , what happens if you accidentally overcharge?Is it just mistakes in giving change or are you accepting cards etc that are not valid.If the latter and you are acting in contrary to your employers instructions you could be held responsible for any loss involved.

You have to explain your situation in more detail.
Some things your employer can take out of your paycheck: uniform, money mistakes, etc.
Some things your employer cannot take out of your paycheck.
I don't know what the till is.

Check with your local labur board. I would say no. It depends on the labour laws where you live and work. A good employer shouldn't and wouldn't do that.

No. They can only take money out of your wages if it's sanctioned by a Government agency, e.g. Inland Revenue, CSA.
Otherwise, they need your prior written consent.

If you are THE ONLY ONE with access to your drawer, then yes. If any other person or manager has access to your drawer, then they would need to prove it was your fault the drawer was short!!
