Hmmm, is the BEST things in life free? Poll , and half would say yes , half would say no. I believe you can obtain those things which you desire in life, anyone can, but you have to work hard has hell to get the "BEST" things in life. Your definition of what is best is probably very different from me or anyone answering this question! Most educated people put aside family and children while pursueing those BEST things in life. They strive to attain matieral things such as Cars, Yachts, additional homes, etc. It is only then after they aquire those BEST matieral goods that they look around and realize what they really wanted , did , come sooo freely. Yes, it is good to have those things in life. So to sum up your answer, we can have the BEST things in life , but those things do come with a PRICE!

The best things there are in life don't cost a penny., -a beautiful sunset, or sunrise,
-a kind word -a smile,
-listening to children playing and having fun together,
-watching a kitten play w/ a ball of yarn, -the fragrance of sweet flowers and fresh cut grass in Spring,
-the fragrance that fills the air after a rain,
-a bird' song, -a baby's tiny hand wrapped around your finger,
-watching a little child take it's very first steps, -hearing your child say "da da" or "ma ma" for the first time,
-being remembered by an old friend years later,
-hearing the words "thankyou", and "I love you",
-getting a nice compliment, -being looked up and admired by others, for "who you are",
and not just for what you do,

I could go on & on, There are plenty of things in life that are FREE, they're a GIFT to whoever 'will' receive them. All a person has to do really, is open their eyes a little wider, and look for them, appreciate them, maybe take two seconds away from problems, and working, paying bills, and routines & schedules, to enjoy it on the way to where you're going.

5 or 10 minutes, can make all the difference in the world, to the rest of the day, or week, and change the way others respond to you, because you just might a have a smile yourself! It gives a person a new outlook on things, on people, and life itself, and others will see it and respond it.

Other people reflect back, what they see in you, If you're not smiling, for example, because you're in deep thought about a problem or your own life, someone else may interpret the expression on your face as someone who doesn't want to be bothered, and can be misinterpretted in many different ways.

It's been my own experience, that the more I appreciate these things, the more friendly and open others are to me, than when I'm focussed on my life and what "I'm" gotta do next. I've noticed a total difference in the way even strangers respond to me when I am looking for and enjoying these things in life, from the times I don't. When I don't, I've noticed others barely speak, and I'm more focussed on what others are doing or not doing. On the days when I do, everyone I see almost, is friendly, smiling and speaks.

I finally figured out, that whatever a persons outlook is on life, is written on your face, and the way you carry yourself, your tone, etc, people reflect & respond to what they see. Some of the hardest, stoned-faced, rude people, are those who won't even stop for two seconds, to watch the sunset, or notice the sound of children's laughter or good music, and never hear a kind word, even when it's spoken, because they're too wrapped in life.

It's the little things, the smallest of things in life, that are the BEST and go unnoticed by the world, how sad......after all it 'is' free, and it is a GIFT!

The best things in life, before they can be said to free or not depends on '' where one is coming from''.It depends on what one considers to be the best. Most people consider material things as more important while others do not.To me the material or physical aspects of life are costly. However we must bear in mind that without air there can not be any existence. In this sense there is no doubt that the best things in life are free.

I believe in the Chaos Theory. That is, the littlest things can affect something else a hundredfold. Everything has an effect, whether good or bad. That means that some of the best things in life you may have to pay for while other things you won't have to or if there is an effect at all it would be a good thing...

Personally, I think the best things in life are our mind, and our body, and we will have to pay for those eventually...

No, the best things in life are absolutely free of charge. There's some sort of fee I guess, but not money. Excluding money, and including, nothing's free. Love takes your heart, hate eats your soul, friends take away your loneliness (which is a writer's best tool) everything has some sort of payment. So nothing's free, but there are things free of money. Love should be one of them, but too many people don't see it that way, and that's why the lover's a dying breed.

As I have gotten older, I realize that the best things in life really are free. I have lost both parents and all grandparents. Just being able to spend time with someone is great and free. Listening to your kids. Hugging your kids/family. The weather (some like good/some like bad). Being able to get out of the bed in the mornings. Walking, talking, eating, etc. These are all things that are free and good, but we seem to take them for granted and never realize what we have.

If all things in life were free, how would we be able to acheive a world wide trade market today.Plus everyone would feel like they were working for free and not being paid for doing a job service, especially if they had to go to school for it.Nope!Sorry life doesn't function that way, because nobody wants to let go of the money,or be someone who always does a job for free, without especting to be paid for a service done.I mean other than volunteering your time and services for charity,or just to help out, then yes.But otherwise, anything else wouldn't be considered by humankind's natures to the almighty dollar signs.

Nothing is free in life. We have to work hard for survival and the pleasure one derives to own the best things with his earned money can not be measured in any terms. The enjoyment in free things are short lived and as such Iam of the firm opinion that best things in the life has to be earned.
