I have a 1998 Fiat Punto 60S 3 Door Hatchback. I have put on 15" alloys and my tyres are now: 185/55 R15 (82H/V)

Can anyone tell me what my tyre air pressure should be for my front and back tyres as I have no idea now and have no where to find out.

Thanks.

This tyre size isn't an option for your car however the 1999 GT/Sport/Cabrio does have this as an option and the pressures are Front: 31 psi Rear: 30 psi

air pressure is tricky.

if you go buy what the manufacturer of the tire says, then it isn't in spec with what the vehicle says.

the weight of the vehicle is important too in tire pressure as well as the manufacturer spec.

what if you carry a load? can the tires handle the new psi, and what about tire speed rating? those all need to be considered.

when you change tires by make and model it can affect speed, but not by much. And that amount of difference can be contested in court if your ever cited a ticket.

you can take it to discount tire and have them fill them up for free, and ask them what they recommend and then just leave them at that. it's free, and why not take advice from professionals that inflate nearly 1,000 tires a day. they know their stuff such as tire specs, vehicle specs, and how to gauge what's best for the car.

hope this helps. either way, just trial and error it until you find something that also suits your driving habits and how you like the look and feel of your tires and vehicle.

Check on the side of the tire and it will have it in small writing,max:press:35lbs. I was an alignment specalist and i always recomend this pressure for good mileage and handling.
Different cars and trucks and vans will have different air pressure sometimes. And you need to keep check on this pressure atleast every two weeks and rotate the tires around 5000 miles.

No idea what the pressure should be but are you aware that changing the size of the tyres alters the accuracy of the speedometer? Beware of speed traps.

it will say on the side of the tire, but the pretty much norm for 15" is about 35 psi.

TYPICALLY BETWEEN 30 AND 35 PSI IS OK, BUT IT SHOULD SAY ON THE DOOR JAMB. OR DOOR, DRIVERS SIDE
