Think of it this way. Cleaning and Organization should make you feel accomplishment. If you clean your room everyday, you would feel like you completed something, makes you feel good about yourself, instead of lazy and that feeling of, (oooh I don't want to do this, or I hate cleaning this crap up) If you just do it, and make it a goal, then your thoughts about it would change as well. Cleaning is a good thing, sing while you do it, or put some music on. Remember how good you will feel, once it's done. Plus, it gives you time to yourself, to think and dwell on good things. Make it an exersize, not a morn!

Start with picking up clothes, that will make it look like you've got a good start and might be most of why it looks dirty. Make the bed second. Neatly stack books, papers etc... Vacuum and dust. Now, the easiest way to not stress out and show how mature you are is to keep it clean. It takes 2 minutes to make a bed everyday if that long. It takes a lot longer if you think "Oh, I've got to clean my room, Oh how am I going to get it all done" You will spend more time thinking about it than doing it and a lot less time enjoying a clean room. Wouldn't your mom freak if you made your bed everyday for a week??? Maybe she won't see the rest of the mess!

First, I think all you have to do is straighten up your room. In other words make the place look organized, not have things just lying all over the place.
Second what you want to do is try to remember to straighten out at least one section of your room a day. Such as cleaning out your desk or dresser/drawer.
I hope this helps and good luck with the parents

they say making your bed makes your room look 70% cleaner- if i dont have enought time to actually clean my room before my boyfriend gets home- i just make the bed- it is probably the biggest piece of furniture in the room and there fore draws the eye. next though id pick up the floor and put things where they go.

start by the door and work your way in....dont leave the room every time you have to beirng something inot another room as that only wastes time...use a box to keep stuff (dishes ect) in and bring it to the kitchen or whatever when it is full
accept the fact that sometime it is going to look worse before it can get better
good luck

First off . . . keep it clean. 2nd do what I do for my niece. . . make a pile, pick up EVERYTHING in the pile and put it away. Then when it's done make another pile. You'll be done in no time. ~Good Luck~

Pick up any stuff like clothes, papers, book etc. Then start from top to bottom. I recommend dusting first then make your bed then sweep.
