I get mine done once a month. Once a week I take the tweezers and I pluck the stray hairs. And yes, it hurts, but try this:do it right after you get out of the shower. It doesn't hurt as much if you do that. And never pluck or wax right before or after your period, cause it WILL hurt more.

Threading is where they take a long piece of thread and wind it up and then unwind it over the hairs. It's kind of hard to explain, but it's much more precise and lasts a lot longer than waxing. Of course it hurts more too, though. It's like tweezing really fast. Threading is cheaper than waxing too. It's usually only $7. But they don't have it most places. If you have an Indian area in your town, go to a salon there. Most Indian places have it, because it originated in India. I get mine done maybe once a month. I'm exactly like you with the tweezing. This hurts just as bad, but it's much faster.

karen D gave good description of threading. However, I do not agree with her on how long it lasts. I hated threading. it made me break out and felt like i had rug burns everywhere around my eyes. It also only lasted like 2 1/2 weeks. Waxing I can usually go 3 - 4 weeks. i do pluck the weird stray hair myself if needed.
My dermatologist has a cream called vaniqa that can be used for slowing the growth of hair. but it is perscription only.
you might try electrolysis or laser.

Every morning when you get out of the shower, and your face is still warm, tweeze out any little out of place hairs that you can see. This way you do not have a bunch to tweeze at once, and keeping up with it will not seem like such a chore.

I agree with Roxiecat. I use the home stuff (Sally Hansen wax removal kits, about 6 bucks at WalMart). Works great!!! And doesn't hurt really at all. I agree that tweezing a lot of hairs at once does hurt.

I've never Done this but...some of my friends have gone to do their eyebrows with thread. They use threading to pluck your eyebrows out...that should slow the growth.

lasering is good, but you might have to save for a bit to afford it. Try finding a shop that offers the service for less and save what you are "saving" and put it toward a "laser cash" removal fund.

Have you tried the cold wax at home kits? They work really well and they don't hurt much.

I don't think ther's a way to do it, try threading, maybe it will take longer to grow back.
